To test it, I simply opened the Surfshark VPN application my computer. They have a lot of servers in the United States, but instead of selecting one specific server, I simply chose the United States from the list. When you connect to such a “standard” server, Surfshark VPN automatically picks the best and the fastest server for you, making sure that you do not lose a lot of speed being connected to their VPN servers.
Here I am connected to a server in the United States (Surfshark VPN picked a New York server for me). After the application connected me, I got a new local IP address in New York. And now it was time for the real test.
I visited NBC.com. I already have a user registered (free) at the website, so I logged in and looked for something to stream. To my great surprise, I discovered that the most recent season of Suits is available at the NBC website (even though it is a USA Network show). I decided to give it a try, and at once, I was able to stream the show. In other words, I did not get any error message about being abroad as I tried to stream NBC abroad. And yes, you can use Surfshark VPN to stream NBC abroad.
Do all the Surfshark VPN servers in the USA work with NBC?
I cannot really answer this because I haven’t tried them all. But, the fact that it worked immediately for me, means that they for sure have servers working with NBC. So, if you ever get an error message using Surfshark VPN and NBC, simply connect to a different server the next time.
